Is this legal for a student to see his marked answer Books after declaration of final result of examination. There is a process of rechecking in my country. But in this process ,university officials only check the the papers theirself. and student is not not allowed to see his marked answer scripts. student is informed after process through mail about result. is it a common practice in all countries? if yes then what is the logic of that secracy? what are the advantages and disadvantages of this policy for students? PLZ share your knowledge and experience with me.
Can a student have right to see his marked answer transcript after declaration of his result or not ?
In the US, each university has a different policy and even the professors can make their own rules, but generally the student has the right to reexamine the final exam and check the grading. Most professors will listen to complaints; however, some reserve the right to regrade the ENTIRE exam, saying they will start from the beginning and you will get a higher grade, the same, or a lower grade.
Reply:I dont think you are allowed to check them besides certain cases where they allow students to have a look at them. In my uni (uk) as well , we can request or appeal against the result and the books are rechecked by staff or teachers and the final results are declared. If you are unhappy about your results go and talk to a member of your academic staff, policies vary from institute to institute so you might have a chance. good luck
