Are these (finally) some student activists/protestors we can agree with for a change?

Usually when you hear the term "student activist" images of long-haired, unshaven dopeheads or shrill feminazis come to mind. However, I was pleasently surprised to find that not ALL student protestors are USA-hating traitors:

College students across the country have been strapping empty holsters around their waists this week to protest laws that prohibit concealed weapons on campus, citing concerns over campus shootings.

"People who would otherwise be able to defend themselves are left defenseless when on campus," said Ethan Bratt, a graduate student wearing an empty holster this week on the campus of Seattle Pacific University.

College campuses are notorious bastions of anti-American leftwing rhetoric. These youth have chosen to think for themselves, rather than accept their professors non-sensisical anti-gun bloviations. It fills my heart with pride that there so many patriotic youth today

Are these (finally) some student activists/protestors we can agree with for a change?
Amen to that. Maybe there still is hope for the next generation of Americans!
Reply:Yup. We are at a point where conservatives are no longer allowing lefties to run all over us.
Reply:Thats cool wish I was back on campus
Reply:Give me a break. Thats really all I have to say.
Reply:Every protester thinks for themselves, marxist. Personally I'm glad to see these protesters just like any others. However don't mistake the campus law for u.s. law. Even though I own a registered gun, I'm certainly not allowed to bring it to work--that's the employer's rules. If I were in a position to decide, I would have to think long and hard about allowing guns on campus.
Reply:It's good to see college students that are aware of what the Constitution and the Founders espoused.
Reply:they have every right to protest...

but a lot of people running around with guns isn't the answer... I dont' think...

I'm waiting on on of the few campuses that allow guns to have a gunman... then 10 other people pull out their guns to defend themselves in a crowded classroom... 11 people shooting in a crowded classroom under extreme pressure... how many dead bodies would that lead to?
Reply:You mean the dozens of little wingnuts that aren't in Bob Jones U.?

yawn...........

Wingers smell like dirty feet....
Reply:It is about time people start to open their eyes and dismiss the idiotic anti gun rhetoric..Our founding fathers considered the right to bear arms for personal protection SO IMPORTANT that they made it the second amendment to our Constitution...I personally think its EVERY law abiding, mentally competent citizens obligation to be well trained and armed...gun laws have done NOTHING but disarm those who listen to the law, while the criminal...you know, the ones who break laws as a way of life...they just go buy any gun they want from the black market...I'm hoping to someday see a Second Amendment appreciation day..one day a year where all people who support the second amendment get out and practice, have safety classes..have gun shows.....the sight of millions of Americans enjoying the day and practicing with their weapons would just give the libs chills....
Reply:Where was this photo taken, University of Dodge City??
Reply:Excellent news, as good as the news about the students organizing "Anti-Islamofascism Week across the nation on college campuses. They've been physically threatened by the Evil Left. I think they'll need to fill those holsters soon.
Reply:Refreshing to see students not being brain washed by the Left .I my self am waiting to see this so called Gun that can load it self aim and kill a person all by it's self
Reply:You may chosen to think for yourself, but that doesn't mean actual thought has come out the other end.

You want MORE stressed out adolescents experimenting with drugs and alcohol to have guns?

Brilliant...
Reply:All those years of brainwashing down the drain. These students know what is right and will not be intimidated.

It is enough to make you want to go back to college.

A wingnut is slang for for a US Air Force Airmen. Although I was a Marine I hardly consider this an insult. If you are going to insult me you might call me a rightwing extremist; only problem is; I like it.
Reply:I'm reminded of the 101st Airborne Division that was tasked with holding the town of Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge in WWII.

Out manned, out maneuvered and out gunned, they held their positions despite the overwhelming odds that were marshaled against them. Those soldiers became such an obstacle for the German advance that four Wehrmacht soldiers carried a white flag up to the American lines to ask the GI's to surrender.

The request was met by the now famous reply of "Nuts". When the men of the 101st heard General McAuliffe's answer, they were made proud and grew even more determined, for America had once again proven her greatness.

This reference is used because I know how lib infested Seattle is, and the pride and determination those patriotic youth have displayed is reminder that the indelible spirit of this wondrous nation will never give way to the leftist vermin.
Reply:It is about time they started to protest on campuses like this.

I bet the libs are pulling their hair out.

I say good for them do not be a victim.
