Student loans...which one would be best?

My husband was just accepted into college. We got financial aid that covered half of it(about 5,000$) but we dont know how to get the other half. He doesnt qualify for grants or scholarships beacuse its only a 6 month certificate program. We could get a student loan from the school to cover the rest of the program, but it wont cover any outside expenses. Not even ones related to the program. Should he just go with the student loan from the school or try for one with an outside lender? He doesnt have good credit and I dont have any credit and our family isnt willing to cosign for us. What would be the best way to get the loan without a cosigner? Where would be the best place to get one? Should I try a bank or a company like Sallie Mae?

Aww..Im sorry to hear that. I know, there are many ppl who cant pay for it and Im sorry. I think you should try to find a bank and get the money. I know it isnt much of a good answer but, good luck on finding ur loans =] ^^
Reply:Go with the loans with the school...those are federal. For a private loan through a student loan lender its strictly based off creditworthy borrowers...u might have better luck with a bank for additional loans.
